Last week was another busy, yet fun filled weekend! It was the NABA (North American Basketball Association) basketball tournament that involved many locals teams, as well as out of town teams. The North American Basketball Association is a non-profit organization that trains kids through the spring and summer months to prepare them for a national tournament during the Labor Day weekend. There is no cost for the kids to play in this tournament. The hard work and dedication that this organization contributes to allow these kids the opportunity to play is amazing. Not only did I see how hard these kids train, but also how they are taught to work as a team. The older teams were extremely good role models for the younger ones because of the support and team work they showed on and off the court.
Thank you NABA for giving me this opportunity. It was an honor to present the trophies to the winning teams in the championship games. Congratulations to all the winners!
